

Stopping in cornpone Gatlin, Nebraska, may be a bad idea for Burton Stanton (David Anders), a man just back from Vietnam in 1975. His wife is a former high school beauty named Vicki (Kandyse McClure) who has trouble with her post-traumatic husband. The community seems deserted. Of course, Gatlin, overrun by religious zealots who are children. They have a leader in Issac (Preston Bailey). He worships some mysterious deity who hides in the cornrows. What becomes apparent is that the children have no use for sinful adults and are regularly dispatching them to hell. Upon reaching adulthood, every child must also be killed. Malachi (Daniel Newman) may be on the cusp of reaching maturity, and he begins to have second thoughts about the zealot mission.
